“Edmund Burke, the Irish statesman, author, orator, political theorist and philosopher stated ‘All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.’  The founders of Best Line Defense have made a vow not to be among those who do nothing.”

John started his law enforcement career in 1977. He is  also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He spent the greater part of his law enforcement career in the Detroit area, where he witnessed the effects of violent crimes. His wife, Wendy, grew up in New York City, and is currently a Deputy in Arkansas. They have both encountered much of the darker side of humanity.

They started Best Line Defense  because they understood that the evil doers will always find a way to get what they need. They believe it is time that law abiding citizens are empowered to fight back. They have focused on less than lethal self defense products because these can be used by anyone, and can legally be carried places where a firearm cannot. Both John and Wendy have been exposed to pepper spray, so they have first hand knowledge of the debilitating but temporary effects of the chemical. Their line of products also includes stun guns, personal alarms, knives and tactical gear. In addition to attending gun shows, the Megyeses operate an online site: Wendy is also a public speaker and has given safety talks at venues such as churches, schools and women’s organizations.

Best Line Defense is a family run business. Their son Joshua is the go-to tech geek. He works on all the computer and technical issues.Their daughter Daniella is the promotional manager. She helps out with the marketing efforts. The Megyeses also have a 19 year old son who has autism. Luke works in the shipping and receiving department. He packs  boxes for shipping and assists with inventory control.

As a family, they are committed to serving you by providing the best products on the market as well as excellence in customer service.
