This is the final post in a two-part review of the Diva WOW (Women Outdoors Worldwide) 4th annual AR-15 clinic held on Sept. 14 2013.  I know you want photos, whether you attended the event or not, so ask and you will receive.

I mentioned the 3-gun course in the prior post, and this happened to be my favorite station at the event.  Deb Cheek performed the demonstration.

I want her on my team during the Zombie Apocalypse!

The fun shoot was just that – moving targets, Ghost targets, large and small plates,  Very fun and engaging for  first-time or advanced shooters.

The advanced and defensive AR-15 shooting clinic was also interesting and women shot .22LR AR’s during the drills. They learned how to move from a low-ready to a firing position without support, and then acquire a target and fire a single round.  Clearing malfunctions was also discussed.

It was very encouraging to see how many of the first-time shooters made it out (multiple times, in fact) to the 100-yard range to engage steel with .223’s.

Lunch and the afternoon refreshments were nice, but the main event was the raffle for the DPMS .308 AR, actually won by Mike Malone.  He had to leave before the raffle, so his wife, Brittany ‘offered’ to pick it up for him.

Now, do we really believe it worked out that way?  Do you think Brittany will be shooting a DPMS .308 at the fall clinic later this month?  Moral of the story Mike, is don’t leave before the raffle 🙂

All seriousness aside, you can check out the full photo collection on my Flickr page.  Enjoy!
