Ft. Worth Gun Show Nov. 2 2013 Part II

This is the final post covering the Ft. Worth Gun Show on Nov. 2, 2013, sponsored by Premier Gun Shows. In the first part of the review, I covered the show opening, traffic, and vendor list.  Today, we get to the real fun – AR prices.

As always, my motto is shop the floor.  You never know where the best deal might be; I found prices on .22LR ammo, CCI min-mags, for example, that ranged from $11 to $40.  I walked away with two at the $11 price, one for my stepfather when we go shooting this coming weekend and another for something really cool coming up next week.

All prices are considered show-only by the vendor and reflect a discount for cash transactions.  Prices are aggregated by model, not by vendor.  If you see a price such as $2499 (2), that means the price for that item was noted two times at $2499 by two separate vendors.  All prices observed are listed lowest to highest so that you can compare average prices from show to show or best price at this particular show vs. other purchase avenues.

These are mostly AR prices, but as always, I included a few other things that caught my eye.  I really should keep my eyes more closed, and then my wallet would be a lot thicker than it is right now.

Overall, it was a decent, although more sparsely attended show, but I could not help but notice the large number of non-firearm related vendors.  I don’t mind having a show every now and then that is more for the entire family, but on a purely personal basis, I’d really like to see Ft. Worth return to a more hardcore, Wanenmacher-style GUN show.

Well, as I hinted above, something really big is coming next week.  That and product reviews will keep me busy for all of Nov.  I’m guessing the next show review will be one of the Houston-area shows in early Dec.  Thanks for spending part of your day with Texas Gun Show Review.
