Dallas Market Hall Gun Show April 12, 2014

This is a brief review of the Market Hall Gun Show on April 12, 2014, sponsored by Dallas Arms Collectors Association.  An unexpected traffic delay due to construction on I-35 caused me to arrive about ten minutes after opening, so I do not have pictures of the opening line.  I walked up to the entrance just before 9:20AM and I was able to pay and walk right in.

My initial impression of opening traffic was lukewarm at best.  I immediately went into the north hall to check vendor participation since this entire hall was nearly empty at the last show.  This was supposedly the ‘big gun and knife show’ so I was pleased to see the north hall occupied with substantially more tables than the prior show.  The custom knife makers were largely grouped at the east end and there was an area setup for classes and demonstrations.

I had about an hour of meeting time planned with sponsors and a couple other vendors, so I did not have time to compile a vendor list.  I’ll try to do that at the next MH show.

Traffic remained pretty light throughout the day – I talked with several vendors that complained of ‘a slow day.’  I was also at the show on Sunday for a joint promotion with Shotgun Blasters.  Traffic is usually light at MH on Sunday and 4/13 was no exception.

Here is a list of what caught my eye at the show, organized by firearm model.  As always, unless otherwise stated, all prices are for NIB models and reflect a discount for cash transactions.

The new 2014 firearm prices list has also been updated in case you are tracking prices and release of firearms announced at the 2014 SHOT Show.
