This should be my last post on SHOT 2014.  NSSF put on a great show and they announced an attendance record at 67,000 for 2014, an increase of 5K over 2013.

Here are a few final notes.

– I stopped by the Project ChildSafe booth on my way out.  It’s always great to see new programs for promoting firearm safety, especially in homes with children.

– Gov. Perry was at SHOT on his continuing mission to attract firearm manufacturers to Texas.  PLEASE!  Come join us!  Texas welcomes you!  I missed the Governor, but missing people is the easiest thing you will ever do at SHOT 🙂

– NSSF just released a new report on the effect of target shooting on the economy.  You can read the press release here.

– NSSF also has a YouTube channel with new product videos.

– According to the SHOT show Facebook page, the Sig 556xi, Glock 42, and Remington R51 were the top new products at the show.  Check out the word cloud image here.

And, speaking of images, my SHOT 2014 photo collection is up on Flickr.  All photos were taken with permission from the vendors and I want to thank all the vendors that took time to answer questions and talk with me about their new offering.

I’m already looking forward to 2015 🙂
